Our Children Are Our Future

Our company is based on the Space Coast of Florida. We compete for talent with Space and Technology companies like Harris, Space-X,  Northrup Grumman and Lockheed Martin. We are always hiring – if you know of any fun, smart people send them our way! We often discuss the local technology labor force and the growing need for technical skills in the workplace.

No matter what vocation your child pursues, preparation needs to include technology and critical (logical) thinking. It will take a strong foundation in both to succeed in the coming years. We’ve seen an increased implementation of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) in our local schools – although STEAM where it focuses on the Arts as well, is where I personally want to see things.

Anyone that has read Issac Asimov (one of my favorite authors) and his 3 laws of Robotics will recognize that he was a philosopher and artist first, despite advanced degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry.

A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Amy and I had the opportunity to visit a local school recently and help them with some starter kits for their STEM Seaperch program.

Seaperch Technology Donation @ Palm Bay Elementary

SeaPerch is an innovative underwater robotics program that equips teachers and students with the resources they need to build an underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) in an in-school or out-of-school setting.

I hope you will support our kids and help them build a strong foundation in science technology and the arts!
