End Polio, Mining, Leigh and More!

I first became aware of Rotary in 2007. I was so impressed by the work ethic and focus on serving others. Rotarians don’t care how successful you are in business; they only care about if you helped during the last service project! Their motto – Service Above Self and the recent slogan “Rotary, Doing Good in the World” both resonate with me. I’ve been a Rotary member for over 10 years now and I am consistently humbled by how much good is done in the world by Rotarians and the volunteers that we support.

It was at a recent Rotary meeting that Amy and I became aware of the Brevard Achievement Center and the wonderful work that they do in our community. The mission of Brevard Achievement Center is to provide persons with disabilities innovative services and opportunities to achieve personal success.

Louisa at BAC introduced us to Leigh, who shares her story in this month’s newsletter.  Leigh has worked here the last few months as an Office Assistant!

My wife, Amy Sullivan, is the current President of The Rotary Club of Melbourne Beach. She recently hosted a World’s Greatest Meal event to help stop Polio. You can read about how we are “This Close!” to eradicating Polio from the earth.

Jeff Sy has a great article on Cybercurrency Mining. He works nights and weekend shifts and I’m sure has bailed a few of you out a jam after hours!

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we took a team photo to celebrate our survivors and honor those that we have lost to this disease.
